OVERVIEW

The legend begins with a single-player series of adventures designed to invite both veterans and newcomers to explore the land of Talisman. Talisman Prologue focuses on creating narrative depth through its single-player campaigns. The story unfolds as the player rolls dice to move around the outer, middle, and inner regions of the board. Each space will require the player to draw a card or resolve a special effect, leading your hero to encounter monsters, discover friendly followers, and gather treasure

Pros and cons of Talisman Prologue app for iPhone and iPad

Talisman Prologue app good for

Great port of this legendary game! They did it right! The quest is a fun way to play the game alone until the multiplayer release later on! Great game!
If you are a fan of table top role playing games there is unlimited fun to be had with this game! Production values are fantastic! Easy to learn - you will be questing within minutes.
As awesome as it is, I wish you could make it so you could play the real game rather than quests. I love the assassin though! And finally, make it so we can buy the expansion packs or something.
Great solo game based on the original board game, great app. Good job. Cant wait for multiplayer version.
This is a great game, cant wait to get the multiplayer version and hopefully they start making all the expansions!
I am a big fan of the Talisman board game and this app is excellent. The designers have managaed to create an engaging single player experience while staying true to the original multiplayer game. The graphics are great. the camera zooms in on the small spaces well and gameplay is very fluid on my iPod. I hope that they continue to add characters, board expansions, and, hopefully, Multiplayer! My only complaint is that your character is represented by an unpainted, grey figurine. While this is true the board game version, many fans paint their figures, and with an iPod app there is no reason they coudnt be coloured! Well worth 5 dollars!!! Buy it so they can add more!!! Good work Thumbstar!

Some bad moments

I have played dozens of games of the multi-character Talisman and was expecting a similar level of satisfaction. There are a few things just wrong with this game that make it painful to play: 1) It loses your game. If you exit the game in the middle, after a while it forgets where you left off and you have to start all over again. The other Talisman game remembers where you left off, and when it doesnt it has saved your progress so you can continue. 2) The UI is worse than the regular Talisman game. The regular game allows you to make most decisions on the right side of the screen. For some reason they moved things around so now you are tapping on different sides of the screen, far less convenient. The UI also wastes a lot of your time by delaying the action and repeatedly telling you how spaces and cards work that you already know. There is no setting to speed it up either. 3) The game appears to be based on random gameplay. It seems like most objectives are to draw cards until you find the one you want. You are also ranked based on how quickly you meet the objective. These two things do not go well together. It would be better if the objective was less random, or if you were not measured on how quickly you can draw a card from the bottom of the deck. Much less satisfying than the regular Talisman game. Not worth paying for unless they fix these items.
Multiplayer scheduled for Summer 2013. now almost half year later still Not released!
Since the last two updates the game doesn´t work anymore on my iPod 4th generation!!! I hope that gets fixed very soon. I like the game very much and I would really like to play it again.
Crash all time I try to open it on my iPad and not support the multiplayers!
A multiplayer game that you play yourself. The whole point of the game and many cards (like 4 strength tokens on the space) are worthless while in single player mode. They should had at least 2-3 other computer players to compete against. By forcing you to play with yourself they totally missed the whole point of the game. I gave the game two stars instead of one as they faithful re-created the game although they missed the mark by making it single player.
Dałbym 5/5, ale brak opcji multiplayer to ponury żart ze strony twórców. GIVE US MULTIPLAYER GUYS!!!!!
